Orange Juice

Blood orange
Some friends would call me an orange juice nazi ;-) The source for this taste comes from my father and grand-parent's helper who were so kind to press fresh juice for me on week-ends as I was growing up.
In any case, for other people out there who appreciate good but ready-to-drink orange juice, I encourage you to try Trader Joe's unpasteurized orange juice.

The next challenge is finding good blood orange juice :-P

On a related note, Squeezed: What You Don't Know About Orange Juice, a book on the topic, was just mentioned on Boing Boing, and seems interesting. I haven't read it yet, but in an interview, the author shares some juicy bits about how industrialized orange juice is made, in perspective with how the brands get marketed.

If you're curious about how modern food is produced, Fast Food Nation
and The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, are good picks.
